As many people know, the Brazilian carnaval is fast approaching. The dates of the next carnaval will be February 25th through March 1st. The Brazilian samba schools have been practicing and designing their costumes all year in preparation for the big event. It is common to see them practicing their performance on the streets throughout Rio de Janeiro. Some of the most popular locations for their performances are Copacabana Beach, Ipanema Beach, and Barra da Tijuca. They choose these locations because they are usually very crowded with people enjoying the sunshine.
